The purpose of discipleship in Jesus Christ is to further the mission of Christ to all the world. We, at Grace Pres, believe that what we have received from God is so vast and so great we cannot help but share it out with all the world. God’s mission is both our responsibility as faithful people and our great pleasure as those filled with the love of the Lord.

Our call to mission is served in the three following ways:

Our Mission as a Church: The Church itself is a mission. In our Church through Christian education, administration of the Sacraments, regular worship, and bible study we nurture and uplift faithful people who are seeking a relationship with God. We are also committed to using our facilities for the betterment of our community by hosting AA, NA, Red Cross Blood Drives, and other community events.

Our Mission in our Community: The Church is not only meant for those who worship in it. It is also meant to be a boon to the community outside its walls.  Our little church serves this beautiful community in many ways both with our giving and with our actions. The Local missions we support and volunteer with are listed below.

Our Mission to the World: At Grace Presbyterian Church we know that we have a sacred duty to make this world a better place. We do so by praying for the world every Sunday, taking an active role in good and healthy environmental practices, and supporting missions in all the United States and abroad. To see a list of the missions we support for the betterment of this world see our list below.

Current Giving Opportunities

Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign, the largest grassroots food and fund drive in the state, brings together organizations, businesses, faith communities, and individuals to help stock and support the capacity of nearly 300 food shelves.

To date, GMCC’s Minnesota FoodShare has distributed over $18.3 million dollars via the FoodFund. A full 100% of donations designated to Minnesota Foodshare during the March Campaign go into the FoodFund and are distributed to participating food shelves.

Food and cash donations are being accepted for Minnesota FoodShare from February 28 through April 10 and will be given to Winona Volunteer Services.

One Great Hour of Sharing is a PC(USA)-wide collection that goes towards sharing God’s love to our neighbors-in-need around the world. Each gift helps to improve the lives of people in challenging situations through three impactful programs: Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA), Presbyterian Hunger Program, and the Self-Development of People.
